MS Coach Kenny

I help people lose fat and gain muscle by guiding them to maintain physical activity. I do this by partnering with them to explore where they’re currently at, imagine a vision for where they want to go, and map out goals and action steps to get there while supporting them along the way.

Explain how were the same and I was in the same place, how I went on the same exact journey, how I was successful following the same plan, how I help/helped others succeed on this same journey..

Feeling…?
You’re not alone.
It’s not your fault.
Motivation is not a switch you just turn on It’s a process.

I grew up playing sports, being active, and eating mostly whatever I wanted. After high school, my physical activity slowed down, I became sedentary and ate mostly fast food. The years went by and the next thing I knew I couldn’t fit into my clothes and I was diagnosed with MS. Those were both big triggers in my life that things needed to change and I began my wellness journey.

I began cycling, intermittent fasting, and quit drinking. I started researching ways of eating healthier and slowly started implementing them into my day. I kept this up while still learning what best suited my body and over time I lost about 50 pounds. By then I had switched completely to a whole food plant-based diet and stopped intermittent fasting. This worked great for me however I now felt too skinny and like I had little strength.

This is when I started to get creative with how I could move my body and searched for physical activities that I enjoyed that would accomplish my goals. I began doing things I was interested in like longboarding, kickball, skim boarding, and hiking. However, I went too hard too fast and I injured myself multiple times playing kickball and skimboarding. I learned the hard way the need to warm up before any vigorous activities and the benefits of stretching after.

My biggest takeaway was wellness is a process, these were my trials, learnings, and successes. I realized how passionate I was about health and the pursuit of it. I wanted to serve as a guide to others to make changes, not just tell them what to do. This is how and why I became Health Coach Kenny and worked to achieve my credentials as a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach.
